Another addition to the Fleetwood fishing fleet was announced this week in the shape of the 498 ton St. Claude II from Fecamp, France.
The trawler is a sister ship to the diesel powered Wyre Gleaner, formerly St. Just II, which Wyre Trawlers Lts bought from France last year. St Claude is to be renamed Wyre Corsair.
Her skipper will be William Spearpoint of Caton avenue, Fleetwood, who left for Fecamp on Tuesday with a Fleetwood crew to take over the vessel. She will return to Fleetwood for fitting out before her first voyage from the port.
