1933 Built as H8 DERVISH for Hellyer Bros Ltd, Hull.
October 09 1935 Bought by Admiralty and converted into Gem class anti submarine vessel HMT PEARL.
1936Employed on weapons trials at Gibraltar. Joined the 2nd A/S Flotilla at Malta.
October 1936Paid off and reduced to the Reserve. Laid up at Rosyth.
June 1939Commissioned and attached to HMS DEFIANCE at Devonport.
1942Rescued 43 survivors from HMS PENYLAN off Start Point.
1944Took part in Operation Neptune as an A/S escort attached to the US Forces, escorting landing craft from Salcombe to Utah Beach.
December 23 1944Rescued 59 Survivors from SS DUMFRIES off the Isle of Wight.
February 15 1945Paid off at Pembroke Dock.
April 09 1946bought by J Marr & Son Ltd, Hull from Admiralty for £14,500. Refitted for fishing and renamed WESTELLA (Replacing the trawler of the same name lost in the war).
June 25 1948sold to Pegasus Fishing Co for £67,000
1953Sold to Dinas Steam Trawling Co, Fleetwood.
May 30 1959Sold to J Marr & Son Ltd, Fleetwood.
1959Sold to Van Heyghen Freres for scrap.
August 18 1959Arrived at Ghent for breaking.
