The pocket trawler Craigmillar set up a new record for her class of vessel at Fleetwood on Monday when she grossed £3,301 - a remarkable return for a 73 ft trawler.

Craigmillar, which carries a crew of four, belongs to J. N. Ward & Sons Ltd. The firm purchased her from Aberdeen.

The vessel's catch totalled 2000st including 1080st of hake. She had been at sea for 13 days.

Skippered by Mr. J. B. Jackson of Agnew Rd Fleetwood. Craigmillar beats the previous record set up only last week by Mr. J. H (Monty) Banks in the firm's brand new ship, Reward, which made £2,700 from her maiden voyage.
